One of the oldest employees of Hermitage Martha, Kryzhanovskaya died at the age of 95. This was reported on the organization's website.

“Kryzhanovskaya did not think about her life without a hermit. For many years of working in the museum, she not only participated in scientific activities, but also passed on her younger generation of experienced employees about the researcher and the guard,” said.
The museum expressed his sincere condolences to the relatives of Hermitage staff.
Kryzhanovskaya was born in March 1930. She survived the blockade of Leningrad, when she was there with her mother in the great patriotic battle. After she managed to complete her studies at the Art Academy, and in 1960 to start working at the Western European Applied Arts Department (Ozepa). There, a candidate of art history has been working for 65 years.
During the protection and science activities in Hermitage, Kryzhanovskaya studied works of the Middle Ages. Under her leadership in the Romanov gallery of the State Museum, a continuous exhibition was formed and opened, reserved for the European Applied Arts of the 11th – XV century.
In addition, Kryzhanovskaya wrote on the basis of her research more than 100 examinations, categories and articles. She is also the exhibition in Hermitage, in museums in Russia and abroad.
The works of Kryzhanovskaya were awarded many awards. For example, in 2014, she was very grateful to the Russian Ministry of Culture, and a year later, an honorary cultural worker of the Russian Federation was awarded.
