Bungie Studio acknowledged that in the alpha version of her new marathon, the artistic elements of others were not used. The attention was paid to artist Fern Hook, who claimed that the structures in the game were almost completely repeating her works created in the past 10 years.

Bungie explained that one of the old employees added these images to the game without knowledge about the rest of the team. Now the studio is conducting an internal test of all game documents and has contacted the artist to discuss the situation.

Fern Hook knew about a violation in April 2025, when the test began, but at first, she did not talk about this publicly, because she considered the opportunity to sue. After that, she gave up this step due to financial difficulties and decided to tell about what happened on social networks.
This is not the first time Bungie has been charged with the use of other people's work – this happened during the development of Destiny 2.
