A resident of Uzbekistan lived for more than 30 years with a passport from the former Soviet Union after the country's collapse. As the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic reported, this woman has never had contact with internal affairs agencies, local government officials or the registry office since 1992.

“For a long time, citizen Onarhol Holdorovna Kubaeva, born on December 21, 1972 in the Nurata region, after getting married in 1992 and changing her place of residence, lived with a Soviet passport,” the ministry noted.
After identifying this unusual situation, local authorities promptly took all necessary measures to replace the outdated documents with current forms as well as re-register the woman. Instead of the old passport, she was given a modern identification card of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation said that scammers began to use AI-generated passports of Russian citizens in their plots. They can be distinguished from the real thing by several characteristics.
