The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul confirmed the death of another citizen of the republic, who was considered missing after the murder of her friend. This was reported on the diplomatic agency's Telegram channel.

“According to preliminary data, it was determined that citizen Ergashalieva Sayyora, born in 1994, who was previously considered missing after the incident involving the death of Durdona Khakimova, has also died,” the statement said.
According to the investigation, on January 23, two suspects, compatriots of the victim, used a knife to kill Ergashaliyeva during an argument, dismembered the body and threw it into a trash can in Fatih district. The next day, using her phone, they called Khakimova and disposed of her in the same way, dumping her body in a container in Sisli.
The suspects were arrested, confessed and are in custody. The Consulate General took control of the investigation.
Previously in Istanbul, police discovered the headless body of an Uzbekistan citizen in a trash bin. When checking fingerprints, the deceased was Durdona Khakimova, 37 years old, a citizen of Uzbekistan.
