Uzbekistan has issued a complete ban on e-cigarettes. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic said that the corresponding law was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Violations of the ban are subject to strict liability, including criminal penalties.
Fines for large-scale trading of electronic cigarettes range from 300 to 500 basic calculated values (from 800 thousand to 1.4 million rubles).
The Ministry clarified that a violator can be exempted from liability if he voluntarily surrenders the prohibited products and admits guilt.
