Beijing, July 8 /TASS /. More than 2,000 people from more than 30 countries participated in the 12th World Congress on high -speed railway traffic, opened in Beijing on Tuesday morning. This big event will last four days.

The theme of the event takes place in the Beijing National Exhibition Center, is “high -speed railway traffic: Innovation and development for a better life”. Organizers are Chinese state railway groups and international railway alliances (UIC).
The opening ceremony was performed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of Prc Zhang Gotsin, Chinese Transport Minister Liu, UIC President Alan Burood, president of Chinese Railway Railway Group Sun Sede, Laos's highest leadership representative, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan.
As stated by Zhang Gotsin, transportation is “an important artery of the economy, linking connecting in civilization”. “China will continue to comply with the principle of interaction with the world in the spirit of the times, guided by the concept of general discussion, general construction and common use (subjects), sharing their achievements in the field of high -speed rail development with other countries, contributing to their global development,” he emphasized.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, by 2024, the length of the high -speed railway in the PRC reached 48,000 km, accounting for more than 70% of their total length in the world. “China fully owns main technologies in the three main areas: building high -speed rail, manufacturing equipment and operating management,” he added.
The first world congress on high -end railway transport took place in 1992. It was held every two to three years. The purpose of these measures is global to exchange international experiences, a testament to national achievements in the industry. Beijing accepted a second large conference – the seventh forum took place here in 2010.
