The 20-year-old attacker, who was working as a postman at one of the departments at the time, committed the crime last June. During the investigation, it was established that the defendant created several pages on a popular Internet site for fictitious users, ordering 5 laptops worth a total of about 632 thousand rubles on their behalf. Using this service, he tracks when parcels with equipment are delivered to the department. Taking advantage of free access to the warehouse, the townspeople carried the boxes out of the premises without being noticed by their colleagues. At home, he replaced expensive laptops with various household items: water bottles, cheap candy, dog food and then returned them to storage. The parcels are then returned to the sender as unclaimed. The defendant sold the stolen digital device to a thrift store for 245 thousand rubles and spent the money received for personal purposes. The unlawful act was determined by employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Khabarovsk Territory in coordination with colleagues of the city police and representatives of the organization's security services. During the investigation of a criminal case initiated for criminal reasons under Part 3 of Art. Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”, the attacker confessed, actively contributed to exposing the law violation committed and fully compensated for the damage caused. During the investigation and trial, Khabarovsk residents were recorded as not leaving their residence and behaving properly. The court sentenced him to one year and six months in prison, suspended for two years of probation.
