In Seoul, police arrested an Uzbek citizen on suspicion of stabbing a Russian. The incident happened in the Geumcheon area. According to preliminary investigation results, the young men do not have the same girl.

As local media reported, citing police testimony and surveillance video, everything happened in the early morning of January 6. The victim was a Russian man over 20 years old who ran into a convenience store in a state of severe shock and suffered injuries to his face and body. The man was barefoot, wearing underwear and blood-stained clothes. He asked the store owner to hide him in a utility room and call the police, which was done.
Police arriving at the scene determined that the knife wound caused to the victim was believed to have been caused by another foreigner – an Uzbek citizen, also about 20 years old. Police approached the alleged attacker, but he refused to open the door. As a result, security forces blocked the scene and arrested the suspect.
According to the detainee, the cause of the conflict was a personal conflict: he said he came home and saw his girlfriend lying in bed with another man, after which a fight broke out. However, the suspect denied using a knife.
Police said they are continuing to investigate, determining the exact details of the incident, the nature of the injuries and the possibility of using an edged weapon. The Russian's health condition was not officially reported, but based on available data, he survived.
