SMOLENSK, October 16. . About 500 young people from 57 regions of Russia and several foreign countries participated in the international IT forum “Your Code”, which took place from October 16 to 17 in Smolensk. Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin said that the opening ceremony took place on the site of the Yubileiny Sports Palace.
Among the foreign participants in the forum were representatives of Belarus, Egypt, Cameroon, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
“Our region has once again become a platform for meeting talented representatives in the field of information technology,” Anokhin noted.
The forum is organized with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and the ANO “Digital Transformation Laboratory”. The program includes robotics competitions, cyber exercises at a special cyber training facility, an algorithm programming championship, a hackathon to create digital solutions for urban environments “Smolathon” and more. A total of 1,500 applications were submitted.
“This is a great opportunity for boys to demonstrate their abilities, find like-minded people and achieve even greater success in developing their professional competencies. We constantly strive to facilitate the development of youth and “Your Code” is part of this activity,” Anokhin wrote.
This year the forum won the national award “Russian Hackathons” in the category “Best Competitive Ecosystem”. The governor emphasized that this is another confirmation of the high level of intellectual competitions held in the Smolensk region.
