Moscow, August 10 /TASS /. The criminal case of organizing a criminal community and receiving bribes to register the wrong migrants was founded against the former Chief of Staff of one of the military units of the Russian Guards in Kuban Vladimir Skobelev and some of his accomplices. This has been reported by the “Kommersant” publication.
According to the publication, hundreds of people have received temporary registration in the military unit from July 2020 to March 2022. Registers are not related to the Russian Guard and are not members of the military family. Among the registered people were both citizens of the Russian Federation and residents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus and Armenia, who recently received a Russian passport.
In total, 116 cases of bribes appeared in the case. The criminal case was opened for 11 defendants, including military staff and employees of the Ministry's Ministry of Home Affairs' migration in the Prikuban district of Krasnodar.
More than one hundred bribes pleaded guilty. Each of them was sentenced to 20,000 rubles.
