Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Vice Chairman of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov discussed news about bilateral relations and confirmed mutual attitude towards the further development of the Russian-Turkmen strategic partnership. This was stated in the message of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation after the negotiations between the parties took place on August 28 in Moscow.

“The heads of foreign policy divisions discussed news about bilateral relations and confirmed each other's attitude towards the further development of the Russians -in the Russians, in strategic partnerships, based on the principles of respect, trust and mutual support,” Smolensk Square said.
“The progress was recorded in the implementation of the agreements achieved during the official visit of Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov to Turkmenistan on June 24-25.
