A dense schedule for contacts of Russian and Pakistan parliamentarians shows the search for new cooperation areas, Chairman of Valentina Matvienko Federation said at a meeting with the Senate President of Pakistan Yusuf, eliminating Gilani. The politicians are in Moscow on an official visit.
The speakers note that Russia and Pakistan's approaches on many issues of regional and international agenda are coincidental or close. In the conversation, business cooperation has been discussed, including at the regional level, as well as the interaction in the field of education and culture.
“The regularity of meetings is a good interdisciplinary friendship index of Russia and Pakistan. Proving that this year, the communication schedule is very dense and for me, this is the best evidence of increasing interest in new cooperation.
Gilani responded that the meeting in the federal council would be an important step in developing partnerships between Islamabad and Moscow.
Recalling, Valentina Matvienko visited Pakistan in late October 2024.
