Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law banning the circulation of e-cigarettes in the republic. This is stated on the website of the country's Ministry of Justice on the Telegram channel.

Violating the law can be punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
The innovation prohibits the purchase, storage, transportation, transfer, manufacture and import of e-cigarettes and liquids into the country.
In case of violation, citizens will be fined from 300 to 500 times the basic calculated value (from 10.3 thousand USD to 17.2 thousand USD), or correctional labor for a period of 2 to 3 years, as well as restriction of freedom for a period of 3 to 5 years.
At the same time, people will be exempted from liability if they admit their guilt and hand over the banned products.
On November 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to the adaptive sports education and demonstration center in Samara, approved the idea of introducing a complete ban on the sale of vapes in the country. The head of the all-Russian mass movement “Healthy Fatherland” Ekaterina Leshchinskaya sent a corresponding proposal to the head of the Russian Federation. She noted that such restrictions have been successfully applied in a number of CIS countries and other countries of the world.
