Rosselkhoznadzor employees discovered at Nizhny Novgorod airport more than 26 kg of products banned from import into the Russian Federation. This was reported by the watchdog's press service.

In November, experts examined hand luggage and luggage of passengers on 68 flights arriving from non-CIS countries and states of the Customs Union. As a result of the inspection, 26.5 kg of regulated products, banned from import without a special phytosanitary certificate, were found among the citizens from Uzbekistan, which were dried fruits, raisins, walnuts and almonds.
Dangerous food was confiscated from tourists and burned in a specialized crematorium at the airport.
We previously reported that violations in fish and meat processing were identified at enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
