In our region, more than 12,000 people participated in events and hosted more than 600 events. “The First” shows that the magic of the New Year really does not happen on its own but is created by the hands of people willing to share their warmth with others.

“The events of the “First Movement” within the “New Year in Every Home” campaign have attracted more than 1.3 million participants. We have united children from more than 23.5 thousand schools, colleges, universities, cultural and youth policy institutions to bring the Tet atmosphere to the heroic defenders of the Fatherland, their families and friends. Artur Orlov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “First Movement”, Water Heroes Russia, a participant in the presidential personnel program “Time of Heroes”, said.
The most popular form is the campaign “Santa Claus for Russian children”. The first people across Russia sent their thanks to experts – those who were on duty on vacation or at work. More than 787 thousand participants organized 50.5 thousand visits to doctors, rescue workers, police and utility workers. More than 220 thousand children dressed as the Frost Man and the Snow Maiden changed their usual roles during the Tet holiday and gave gifts to adults. Young magicians congratulated 280,314 employees.
“The most precious gift is emotion. When you see, during an ordinary working day, people's eyes light up after an unexpected vacation, smiles appear – this is an indescribable feeling. Happiness is bringing joy to others and our actions are exactly about this,” said Father Frost Nikita Kurushin, a participant in the activity.
In the Samara region, more than seven thousand people participated in the Russian Children's Santa Claus event. Activists of the regional branch congratulated the employees of the Dog Service Center of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Samara Region, the Samara Regional Museum of Local History and Legends named after PV Alabin, the Modern Museum and the employees of the Samara Regional Museum of Art. Thanks to the activists of the First Movement, more than 1,450 employees of various organizations received congratulations.
In addition, as part of the campaign “Russian Children's Santa Claus” a special format “The First Christmas Tree” was created. The children sent their congratulations to the children in the kindergarten and the orphanage. Thus, more than 1,000 children were able to enjoy the Tet atmosphere and receive congratulations.
“Such a nice initiative created a truly festive atmosphere for our whole team. To be honest, Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden had not congratulated us for a long time, so the guys tried to cheer us up,” said Ekaterina Gornovitova, head of the exhibition and organizational department of the Samara Region Museum of Local History and Legends named after PV Alabin. Participants of the New Year's Windows campaign tried to create a special festive atmosphere. Fancy patterns on the windows of residential buildings, schools, universities and even large enterprises have turned into real artistic paintings, creating a festive atmosphere for the whole city. In the Samara region, 164 educational institutions were decorated as part of the event. This activity gathered more than 3,000 participants.
From December 2025 to January 2026, First Ones organized the all-Russian campaign “New Year's Story” throughout Russia. The boys not only perform in front of the audience but also provide emotional support to those who especially need help. In our area, children from the Model School Theater “Young Geniuses” performed the play “An Incident in the Library” based on the fairy tale by Alexander Pushkin. The performance took place at the Southern City educational center in the Volzhsky district. Elderly people from nursing homes, students, children with difficult life situations and disabled children from different parts of the Samara region came to see the performance.
First Movement participants always support those who are especially in need. The “Magic Mittens” campaign united activists' efforts to donate warm clothes to children from low-income families and boarding schools. Across Russia, 47,909 people became participants. People who cannot care for themselves – homeless animals – are of particular concern to First Ones. Participants in the “Tailed New Year” campaign helped animals in the shelter.
The holidays are over, but the good momentum created by the Firsts will continue throughout 2026.
