DEITA.RU news agency reported that, in connection with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Primorsky Territory, during a police raid on the territory of Vladivostok International Airport, 8 illegal taxi drivers were arrested.

Preventive measures were carried out by employees of the Artyom City Police Department, the Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard. Foreign citizens present at the airport have their documents checked.
Inspectors did not identify any migrants staying illegally on the territory of the Russian Federation. But the eight citizens working as taxi drivers did not have a license to transport passengers. For each of them, a protocol has been drawn up in accordance with Part 2 of Article 18.17 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Failure of foreign citizens to comply with restrictions on carrying out certain types of activities established by federal law.”
Two violators were fined. The remaining six people were not only fined but also administratively expelled from the country. They will wait to be sent home at the Foreign Citizens Detention Center. They will be banned from entering the territory of the Russian Federation for 5 years.
This year, the first group of illegal migrants consisting of 30 people between 18 and 54 years old were taken from Vladivostok airport on a flight to Tashkent. They did not commit any serious crimes, but they also did not have documents confirming their right to stay in Russian territory.
