The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyev praised the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his policy and announced the signing of an agreement with the European Union (EU) on the partnership and expansion cooperation in the near future. He declared this in the meeting “Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Europe – cooperated for the benefit of the overall development”.
A historical decision was made to establish a strategic partnership between our region and the European Union countries. In the coming months, we plan to sign an agreement on partnership and cooperation expansion with the European Union, the president of Uzbekistan said.
In the speech, Mirziyev is also called the relationship between Tashkent and Baku Allied, and also noted the special role of Azerbaijan in the region. According to him, Azerbaijan acts as a strategic bridge between Central Asia and EU. We appreciate the readiness of Ilham Aliyev respectfully to participate in the development of new general processes, the head of the Republic summarized.
Earlier, Ilham Aliyev said that any criticism related to the transport media project through the Zangezur corridor, nicknamed the Trump Bridge will be extremely difficult. Baku stated that with this action, they, along with Yerevan, had a decisive step for the world.
