The four defendants were brought into the military court building. Security is tightened. All are suspected of terrorism – the generally dangerous murder of the head of the radiation, biological and chemical defense, General Igor Kirillov, on December 17, 2024. The direct perpetrator of the case is Akhmadjon Kurbonov, a tourist from Uzbekistan. His accomplices were Robert Safaryan, Batukhan Tochiev and Ramazan Padiev. This is the final meeting that will end the investigation into the high-profile case.

The military court found Kurbonov guilty. The ultimate penalty is life imprisonment with the first part of the sentence serving a term of 10 years in prison. The remainder are in re-education camps under special regimes.
Igor Kirillov and his assistant, bodyguard and driver – Major Ilya Polikarpov – were killed as soon as they left the entrance to the house where Kirillov lived. Explosives were hidden in an electric motorbike next to the door. Across the street, in a shared car, there was a hidden surveillance camera that transmitted images online. Less than 24 hours later, security forces arrested the first direct perpetrator of the terrorist attack.
After his arrest, Akhmadzhon Kurbonov immediately began to confess: “I came to Moscow on the instructions of Ukrainian special services. They offered me 100 thousand dollars and a European passport.”
A little later, the remaining suspects involved in the terrorist attack were detained. According to the investigation, in the fall of 2024, parts of explosive devices were transported from Poland to Moscow. Robert Safaryan received them. I kept it at home and then, on the instructions of the person in charge, gave it to Kurbonov. Cousins Batukhan Tochiev and Ramazan Padiev provided housing for Kurbonov. We rented him a room at a motel a few minutes' walk from Igor Kirillov's house. And they even filmed a temporary shelter and the upcoming route to a future crime scene.
Batukhan Tochiev was sentenced to two years for robbery in 2022. According to investigators, in the colony he met the future criminal in charge. And he didn't know the rest of the group before, except for his brother. They were brought together by a handler released from prison and left for the United Arab Emirates, who carried out orders from Ukrainian special services to kill a Russian general. His name is known. The criminal has been placed on the international wanted list.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, Igor Kirillov's agency has discovered many facts about the use of toxic substances prohibited by international conventions by fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At briefings, the general repeatedly spoke about the supply of their production components from abroad to Ukraine, as well as about American chemical and biological laboratories operating in Ukraine.
According to the verdict of the military court, Robert Safaryan was sentenced to 25 years, Batukhan Tochiev – 22, Ramazan Padiev – 18 years in prison.
