Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has asked US President Donald Trump to change the format of the Peace Council, ANSA reported.

“I said that we have objective constitutional issues regarding the way the initiative is formulated and I also asked if he would be willing to amend this wording to meet the needs not only of Italy but also of other European countries,” Meloni said after meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
On January 22, at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, the Peace Council was established with the participation of 20 countries. The organization's charter was signed by Donald Trump, as well as 19 other participating countries. These include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and others.
Other countries also expressed their desire to join the Peace Council. About 60 countries have received invitations to join this organization. In particular, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showed interest in joining the Council.
