MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. The Association of Bloggers and Agencies (ABA) will provide free legal assistance to influencers Olga Buzova, Ksenia Borodina, Dmitry Maslennikov, Ida Galich and Oksana Samoilova, ABA told TASS.
Bloggers have fallen victim to a massive attack by scammers who hacked their personal accounts with audiences worth millions of dollars. Legal assistance will include a number of actions aimed at restoring access, protecting user rights, and consulting to prevent repeated hacking.
“The ABA will help bloggers address the current hacking problem by conducting consultations (assessing the situation, explaining rights and possible actions), restoring access, gathering evidence and, if necessary, providing statements to law enforcement agencies and other mechanisms to restore violated rights or prevent similar situations in the future,” said lawyers for the Bloggers Association and the Authority.
As ABA recalls, scammers actively began hacking into the accounts of Russian stars in order to then launch fake jokes on the audience worth millions of dollars. The association added: “Market experts suspect that the hacks may have been organized from within Meta (recognized as an extremist organization in Russia).
