On July 1, the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts will open a unique international exhibition about African artworks: Contact the border. Residents and guests of the city will be able to plunge into the world of the color and tradition of the continent, seeing works of art from different areas of Africa.

An acquaintance with the works of artists, designers and fashion designers from countries such as Nigeria, Guinea-Bisau, Cameroon, Kenya, Burkina-Faso and many others are waiting. But Russian masters, inspired by African art, will also show their creations!
Visitors expect a series of explanations: from traditional weaving paintings and decorative fabrics with light patterns to masks and true jewelry. You can enjoy the unique spirit of Africa without leaving Orenburg.
In addition, the lectures, the evening of music with African motifs and the films that introduce the audience to the life and culture of the continent will be held in parallel. Young tourists will be able to prove themselves in art work, participate in a special contest of the “Russian-Phi” child drawing.
This exhibition will become a cultural event to strengthen relationships and inter -cultural cooperation between Orenburg and African countries. It will open new horizons of interaction in the fields of culture, education and economy.
