Security forces in Nigeria have freed a teacher and 44 students kidnapped 56 days ago in Oyo state, Punch reported.
Journalists clarified that police, special forces and military personnel participated in the operation and arrested eight kidnappers. Several other members of the group were eliminated.
According to the announcement, in more than a month, security forces have identified the group's leader and informants, shelter and supply channels.
56 days ago, 39 students and 7 teachers were kidnapped, one teacher died in the attack, another teacher died in captivity. Those released are undergoing medical examination, which will last 48 hours.
