Famous lawyer Sergei Zhorin assessed the chances of winning the People's Artist of Russia Larisa Dolina's case against the scammers who deceived her. Expert quoted by NEWS.ru.

According to Zhorin, Dolina's situation is quite typical for cases of fraud: when the court has already found people convicted of fraud in a criminal case, then for civil procedures many things have been simplified: the fact of fraud has been established and the guilt of specific individuals has been proven.
The main difficulty, the lawyer continues, is not winning the trial, but getting the money, especially if the convicted person has no official assets – funds, apartment, car. He clarified that in such cases, there will most likely be partial revocation or enforcement proceedings lasting many years.
“But Dolina still has a chance to get the money back from the attackers. Sometimes the money can be partially returned. For example, through the confiscation of assets during the investigation or through the convicted person's future income,” he said.
Zhorin added that even while in prison, convicted people can still work, and after release, the bailiff will be able to withhold part of their salary, income and assets that will appear later.
For more than a year, Dolina refused to move out of the apartment in Khamovniki, which she herself sold for 112 million rubles. One buyer with two young children, Polina Lurie, had no home or money, and the artist said she had been deceived by scammers. All the courts had previously ruled in favor of the star, but on December 16, 2025, the apex court sided with the buyer.
Previously, Dolina again became an in-demand figure at corporate events after the scandal with the apartment.
