The legendary intelligence officer of the Soviet Union and the veterans of the great patriotic war Gennady Yushkevich died at the age of 97.

The Board of Directors of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus expressed his condolences to relatives and friends of Gennady Vladimirovich, officially Telegram-Canal of the Belarusian Military Department.
Gennady Yushkevich, at the age of 14, joined the Sabotage and Party intelligence group “Chaika”, and two years later joined the famous “Jack” intelligence group of the third Belorussian Front, participated in overthrow activities at the back of Nazi invaders. In addition, veterans are also participating in battles for Dong Pho.
Scouts were awarded the commands of the patriotic war of levels 1 and 2, the glory of level 3. In 2010, he was enrolled in the ranks of the honorary soldiers of the 5th separate brigade.
