First, if you have in your hands a so-called foreign passport with a validity of 5 years, then you can get a second passport only within the validity period of the passport. And the second passport is issued only with biometric data,” he said.
Vasenin notes that these conditions apply in reverse. If a citizen has a biometric passport issued for 10 years, he can receive a second passport, namely a 5-year passport.
